B of B cars s.r.o. Ostrava
B of B cars s.r.o. Ostrava (www.bofb.cz) has been taking care of the best that British car manufacturers can offer – Jaguar and Land Rover car brands. The professional and namely individual approach towards their clients is the characteristic feature of B of B cars s.r.o. and it has resulted in the decision to build a new sales centre which in its new concept of corporate identity would further increase comfort for customers and prestige of the Jaguar Land Rover brands.
The new sales centre is a modern building complying with to the highest technical demands for contemporary buildings. The heating and technical properties of the building also comply to these requirements. The heating requirements of the building with respect to its size are very low. An architectural firm recommended installing direct electric heating the regulation of which is the best and it also shows the best purchase price and operational costs ratio. FENIX Jeseník was selected as the supplier. Its product portfolio allowed to select the optimal solution for the individual operational sections of the sales centre. However, another fact that could not be overlooked was that FENIX has been on the market for more than 25 years and its products have been used in the countries of four continents.
System of heating and regulation
The choice of the heating system was adjusted to the purpose of the individual parts of the building. Heating with ECOFLOOR floor heating cables was selected for the most extensive space that is the showroom with new Land Rover and Jaguar cars. The floor of this area is made of ceramic tiling. It is an ideal material for the floor heating and at the same time, the heating system is not disturbing or limiting the visual aspect of the showroom.
The second largest premises is the shop where servicing of the represented brand cars is carried out. Due to the height of the room, ECOSUN S high-temperature radiant panels suspended under the ceiling structure were used for this area. In this space, the placing of heat sources is generally preferred under the roof so that the heating elements were not in the way in the shop and did not make the usable area of the shop smaller. Radiant heating, unlike the formerly used hot air units, is further marked with zero dustiness which, in a room equipped with the state of the art diagnostic devices is surely desirable.
ECOSUN radiant panels in the low-temperature version have been used in the last, administrative part of the building. Again, the panels are placed on the ceiling which allows performing of any changes to the layout of the rooms if needed. Regulation of the individual parts is provided for by programmable FENIX TFT thermostats. These thermostats have a large, well-arranged touch screen so their control is intuitive and very easy.
Thus, apart from the good purchase price, the main advantage of the whole heating system is namely no need of maintenance, its high efficiency and excellent adjustability connected with the decentralization of the heating system.
Conclusion
We are very pleased that the heating system by FENIX Jeseník has been chosen for such a prestigious building. The choice of the electric heating only confirms the current tendency of the growing demand for this system since electric heating positively ranks among the optimal heating systems for contemporary new houses. With this system, the users obtain a highly comfortable and at the same time economically efficient solution that is compatible with the technologies prepared for the near future. Since one of the themes of our times is the increasing of the electricity production efficiency from renewable sources by means of local battery storage facilities and electric heating it the logical segment of this concept.
