Electric heating of multi-layer wooden floors
The unique combination of Unique ® floors with heating foil
The multi-layer wooden floor, installed via what is known as the "floating" method, is a standard type of flooring which is widely used today. Such floors are popular thanks to their ease of maintenance, aesthetic appearance, lifespan and many other advantages.
As it is generally known, wood is a thermal insulator. This is why it previously wasn't standardly possible to use electrical heating systems under wooden floors. The surfaces of such floors did become naturally warmer than those of laminated floors, but despite this they didn't provide sufficient thermal comfort.
We were successful in elegantly solving this problem by cooperation and testing with the Prešov company Kronospan and the firm Fenix Trading s.r.o., which manufactures electric heating systems. It involves the unique connection of heating Unique ® multi-layer wooden floors with Ecofilm F heating films.
Thanks to the original construction of this heating foil, and due to the new, patented construction of Unique ® flooring, electric energy is converted into heat, and this without any losses. Due to the placement of the foil in the floor no unwelcome temperature differences or turbulent air movements occur. The result is the even distribution of heat at the lowest temperature, this resulting in advantages such as electrical energy savings, simple installation and high user comfort.
